Hi!
Great to see that you are interested in potentially joining our Morris family!
We offer all newcomers to the Morris an initial free session after which the cost per practice is £2.50 per night and includes a cuppa and a biscuit or two at half time.
We practice on a Monday evening from 8pm to 10pm.
If you are interested in coming along, whether you are a musician or a dancer please contact us first using the 'Get in touch' tab at the top right of our website.
Morris dancing is fun, friendly and keeps you fit! And is flippin' fantastic in our opinion! :-D
April 28th (Sunday) - St Georges Day Celebrations with Belchamp Morris
12.30pm Hundon Rose & Crown, Suffolk
Dancing to celebrate St Georges Day with a variety of local Morris dancing teams - this is becoming a very popular local event so get there early if you want to park close by!
May 4th to 6th - Rochester Sweeps Festival Weekend
Rochester Sweeps May Festival, Rochester, Kent, UK
Dancing for three days at one of the UK's largest Morris dancing festivals.
Dancing commences from 10am - 4.30pm Sat and Sunday and 11am to 4pm on Monday
Public folk festival - free admittance
8th June - St Neot's Folk Festival
A day of dance with our Morris friends in St Neot's - dancing in and around the town all day from 11am, pub locations included!
15th June - Folk at the Boat, Steamboat Tavern, Ipswich
12-2pm dancing with local teams at the Steamboat Tavern before the folk sessions begin in the afternoon.
21st June - Summer Solstice celebrations with Little Egypt Morris Men
7.00pm, Queens Head, Hawkedon, Suffolk
Dancing with Little Egypt Morris men and other invited teams prior to the ritual burning of the Glemsford Straw Man
6th July - Sherringham 'Potties' Festival
10am - 5pm, Sherringham, Norfolk
Dancing in and around Sherringham town centre at the Lobster Potties popular folk festival
36 Morris teams come together to produce a colourful dancing festival by the seaside!
Guiness Book of World Record attempt to get the most Morris dancers dancing the same dance together during the day!
13th July - Ely Folk Festival
10am - 5pm, Ely, Cambridgeshire
Dancing in and around Ely town centre with teams from around East Anglia and beyond. Also dancing at main Ely Folk Festival site at some point during the day. Shuttle buses from the town to the folk festival run all day.
19th October 2019 - Westrefelda 21st Anniversary Ale - private event, please contact us if your team would like to be invited
After our fabulous 20th birthday celebration in September 2018 we think we might do it all again in 2019 for our 21st birthday!
